Our Approach
We understand how important and difficult it can be to find the right care from the right person. Our RPs have worked extensively across Ontario in various settings with diverse populations. They have heard and seen how the lack of accessible and adequate support can make situations worse and seeking help challenging.
E-Therapy’s service model was intentionally structured to actively demonstrate our values and commitment to providing culturally competent and effective support from highly skilled therapists without compromising quality or consistency. By removing barriers and having experienced RP’s who truly want the best for their clients, we hope to make the seemingly unattainable a reality.
-
Our therapists have master’s degrees in counselling psychology and are registered with the CRPO. As independent level RP’s, they have each conducted well over 1000 hours of psychotherapy and fulfilled all licensing requirements. This means you can rest assured that your support is coming from a confident practitioner with extensive experience. Over the years, they have spent hundreds of hours completing training and certifications that surpass the CRPO’s expectations for continued professional development. Having worked with diverse populations in different mental health settings and roles throughout Ontario, our therapists also bring a breadth of competency missing in those with a scope limited to private practice.
-
Our therapists have used every delivery system available. We’ve found that they’re all equally effective as long as the client is comfortable and feels a connection with their therapist. By providing our services virtually, it means we can support any residents of Ontario who have a stable phone or internet connection. It also means you can stay in your PJs, forget about a sitter, travel with support, avoid a commute and focus on finding the right therapist instead of the location.
-
You shouldn’t have to compromise the quality or consistency of your support for it to be affordable. At E-Therapy, we believe that being client-centred, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive includes offering financial flexibility. Since your care is our priority, we’ll work with you to find something within your budget so that it’s one less thing to worry about.

CBT, DBT, ACT, SFBT, IFS, EMDR…unless you’re a therapist, how could you know what they all mean and which would help you best?
Our therapists are trained in many types of therapy and have experience with combining them to meet each individual’s unique needs. You’ll have access to a diverse array of tools and someone who can teach you how to use them.
-
Client and therapist matching isn’t necessary- but it can be helpful.
Our therapists belong to various minority groups and use their lived experience to enhance relationships with clients who feel a greater sense of comfort and understanding when working with someone they relate to.
They also have broad professional experience supporting diverse populations, integrating culture into their theoretical knowledge, and approaching strategies with cultural consideration.
At E-Therapy, we’re very passionate about making proper mental healthcare available to everyone while also offering additional specialization in working with POC, first and second-generation persons, and Asian-Canadians.
-
It can be hard to find support if you’re working 9-5, going to school, and/or have a schedule that’s always changing.
With that in mind, we offer availability from 10am-8pm Monday to Friday and some weekends by request. Same-day booking is also possible if done at least three hours in advance and you won’t have to be on a long waitlist.
-
One-on-one sessions that focus on supporting you toward your goals and managing your concerns. Our time together is spent exploring, learning, healing, and skill-building.
